The Bently Nevada 3500/25 is a dual acceleration plate clash monitor that is used to detect and protect rotating machinery from shaft misalignment, bearing damage, and other causes of vibration. It is a half-height module that can be installed in the 3500 Series Machinery Monitoring System.
The 3500/25 has two acceleration plates that are mounted on opposite sides of the rotating shaft. The plates are connected to a sensor that measures the relative acceleration between the plates. If the relative acceleration exceeds a pre-set threshold, the 3500/25 will generate an alarm.
